The Rain in Spain stays Mainly on the Plane. You can use Visa and Mastercard in Spain.

Mostly, you need to have an Official Work Authorization approved by pertinent Labor Authorities in Spain. Your Spanish employer should arrange that for you. Apart from this requirement, rest of the docs required are pretty much the normal ones for any other visa. You can find the full requirement at http://www.consulate-spain-chicago.com/work.htm

Hi, the website for the Spanish embassy has very detailed documents on applying for a work visa. Do a google search for Spanish Embassy (nearest major city) and you'll find the local website for one of their consulates or perhaps the embassy itself if you are in the D.C. area. What they won't tell you is that to work in the EU you have to have corporate sponsership and you really need an attorney that specializes in work visas. The exceptions to this are for low-paying positions (aux pares), work/study programs, etc. For any position paying more then 30K euros you'll need to get some kind of sponsership. The reason is that an entity in Spain must pay for and sign some documents and forms to get you on into the Spanish system. Once you have this it's all paperwork and you'll be in Spain working within 3 months.
