How can I get my UK television set to work in Spain?
I get the pictures, but not the sound.

spanish + british men = a fun european vacation :D

buy a Spanish terrestial digital receiver (digibox) and plug into the TV scart socket. should be less than 80 euros. if you want English TV, get a sky box and dish, buy don't tell Sky as they don't like it. In Spain you will probably need a large dish.

Will my hair appliance work in Spain?
I am going to Spain. I have a remington straightner that has dual voltage. I didn't realize this until after I bought a voltage converter that has a plug adapter built in. If I plug in my hair appliance in Spain (into the adaptar of course) will it be okay?

Yes it will be fine. You need a two-pin plug adaptor or do as I do and put a Spanish plug on a four-in-one extension lead from home which gives me four English sockets for the laptop, battery charges, etc. without needing to bother about convertor plugs for them. I'm just back from my ninth visit to Spain. No problem at the airport with the extension lead. It can go in hand baggage if you like, same with the hair straightener. I bought a Master Visa Debit Card in the United States, and was wondering would it work in Spain?
If so, does it automatically exchange currency when I use the card in a store or restraunt?

Yes. You should even be able to use it to draw cash from an ATM.
