Forget it: Millions of Spaniards cannot find work. Foreigners are not welcome in the job market. All there is, is illegal employment with slave labor rates. If you want well paying work without paying tax go to England.

So you want to work like 10 weeks? And you think you can make enough money in 10 weeks to travel in Europe? Sorry, sweetie, but the harsh truth is that the unemployment rate is huge, salaries are low, if you get a job for the tourist season, you can't quit in July, if you want to do that, they won't offer you a job for such a short time. Assuming you'd be offered a job at all, which is almost impossible. Unless you have a friend who can offer you a job, save yourself the trouble of coming here and trying to get a job.

Sorry like the other posters have said unemployment is at 27% there's not enough work for the Spanish or the expats that live here. You aren't even wanting to work in the peak season ,so sorry stay at home and save.

You realize that Spain is deeeeeeeeeep in recession, and there isn't enough work for people who need to feed their families, right? Good luck to you. And hope you feel good about taking food out of some poor kid's mouth.

You must be getting pretty bored of hearing that it will be a nigh on impossible task to get work .... but it will ! - To try and out a positive spin on things, if you can extend your stay until the end of August this will cover the Summer "Shutdown period" when all schools and Nurseries are closed. As such many parents need childcare at this time and as such Au Pairs are in demand, you might want to take a look at this link to see if that could be an option for you - http://www.tumbit.com/how-to-guides/articles/120-au-pairs-in-spain.html

If you can speak fluent Spanish and are prepared to work for a pittance, then you'll find something in the black economy. If you are not prepared to work like that, then forget the idea as there is no work.
