As an ILR holder I am sure you understand you will require a visa to move to Spain as an Indian national due to Spain being apart of the Schengen visa system.The easiest way to overcome your immigration issues would be to apply & successfully acquire UK Citizenship first,obviously with such a move you would also more than likely have to give up your Indian citizenship since your country does not recognize dual citizenship.

Do you need to speak Spanish to live and work in Barcelona, Spain?
Is the knowledge of Spanish required to live and work in Barcelona, Spain? I speak fluent English and fluent French. Yes I am serious. In some countries there are very solid expat communities that allow one's to live in the country without necessarily speak the local language. I do it all the time, and I work for English-speaking companies wherever I go.

I´m British and I live in Spain and I believe as you are a guest living in someone elses country then you should learn the language. I´m learning Spanish because I want to integrate.

You should contact the Spanish embassy in your country of origin. They will give you all the advice you need. If you were from another European country there would be no problem, but as you are not you will need to get a work permit to come here. Jobs are getting hard to find in the current economic crisis. Any work going may go to Spanish Nationals.

Digame says the same thing I've been hearing about the economy. He is right about the EU. If you are not from Europe, and one of the countries in the Schengen agreement, then you need to get a work visa. Apart from that (which can be difficult to get) any foreigner needs to comply with the massive red tape, which changes frequently, and the residence requirements. It can be daunting. Get everything in line, and be prepared to work hard, and it should be worth it. It's a wonderful place to live, if you can make a living! You'll be best off if you are prepared.
