Will electronic audio equipment (eg amplifier, cd player) bought in Spain work in the UK

Will electronic audio equipment (eg amplifier, cd player) bought in Spain work in the UK?
I am currently living in Spain but will move to the UK soon and I want to know if I can use my audio and video equipment in the UK just changing the plugs, or whether I would need to buy a converter or something.

You should be fine most of Europe uses 220V (I think) all I know is its a funny shaped plug...I promise you will be fine.......
2 :
Yes it will work because in Spain its 220V 50hz and in UK is 240V 50hz. It is better to bring those universal travellers plug adaptor to be sure.

You may need to buy a transformer to adjust your electronics to UK standards. If you both use PAL (625 lines per frame) then you should have no problem at all. UK is a bit expensive so good luck with the move. Why are you moving there when the Brits are moving to Spain for a more relax, slow paced life? Just curious!

How to keep cool while working in Spain

How to keep cool while working in Spain?
This summer, I will be volunteering at a horse rescue centre in Spain. Obviously, it will be warm, as the region Im going to will be in the high thirties ( that's degrees C by the way) but, as I will be working with horses, I will also need sturdy footwear. There may also be some riding involved, as they hold a pony club. Is there any horsewear brand available in the UK that I can get cool, but not expensive riding wear? e.g. jodhpurs, boots etc? I'm set for riding hats and tops. Any other advice is welcome.

Horse rescue in Spain sounds a bit of a con. Spaniards love horses. Perhaps La Crisis has hit but you can always sell horses to the butcher in Spain if the worst comes to the worst. Just google "ropa Hipica " and see what Spain has to offer in horsey clothing. e.g http://www.hipisur.com/tienda/Pantalones+y+art%C3%ADculos+sobrepantalones/Pantalones+de+Se%C3%B1ora/173 The usual here is good sunscreen, a good hat / helmet. tee shirt , tight jeans and a good pair of boots. You can keep cool if you remember that "Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun".

According to the manufacturer and Sprint they phone won't work outside the USA, as it is a CDMA non-SIM phone. This is not to say there won't be an International / SIM version, but there isn't one presently available. The customer support person won't tell me or didn't know what the future plans are for HTC.

If you are a citizen of the Netherlands...an EU country, then no. I don't believe you need a work visa, but you will need a permanent residence permit...check with the local Spanish consulate for best information...Things like that seem to change almost daily.
2 :
If you are Dutch you don´t need a Visa I imagine...you´ll need a paper called NIE (Numero de identificación extrangeros) .As soon as you´ve got a national health security number and a job contract, you can have the NIE done.Go to any police station and ask (It´s where all this type of papers are done). Things change through the years. My husband is British and he had to go through quite a lot of burocracy papers...it was a pain in the @rse. Contact your Embassy and the´ll give you all the information .But to work in Spain legally, you´ll need the NIE,that´s for sure.

No you do not need a visa to live in Spain, if you are an EU citizen. You will however need a NIE number if you want to work in Spain.
4 :
you have it so easily! you don't need a visa at all because you are a EU citizen
5 :
Being from an EU member state you are allowed to live and work in Spain indefinetely without any requierements. You will just need to fill some paperforms like the NIE, but living and working in Spain is a RIGHT you have, just like any other Spanish citizen.
