How to keep cool while working in Spain

How to keep cool while working in Spain?
This summer, I will be volunteering at a horse rescue centre in Spain. Obviously, it will be warm, as the region Im going to will be in the high thirties ( that's degrees C by the way) but, as I will be working with horses, I will also need sturdy footwear. There may also be some riding involved, as they hold a pony club. Is there any horsewear brand available in the UK that I can get cool, but not expensive riding wear? e.g. jodhpurs, boots etc? I'm set for riding hats and tops. Any other advice is welcome.

Horse rescue in Spain sounds a bit of a con. Spaniards love horses. Perhaps La Crisis has hit but you can always sell horses to the butcher in Spain if the worst comes to the worst. Just google "ropa Hipica " and see what Spain has to offer in horsey clothing. e.g http://www.hipisur.com/tienda/Pantalones+y+art%C3%ADculos+sobrepantalones/Pantalones+de+Se%C3%B1ora/173 The usual here is good sunscreen, a good hat / helmet. tee shirt , tight jeans and a good pair of boots. You can keep cool if you remember that "Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun".
