Will my french hair straightener work in Spain?
A while ago I bought a hair straightener in France, so it works in French outlets. I'm not sure if it will work in Spain. Do they have the same electrical outlets?? THANKS!!!!

you can get adapters, to let the fit into the socket.

The French and Spain outlets are the same, I believe. They are different than the ones in America, they both have two dots for plugs about two inches away from each other.
3 :
They are the same throughout most of the EU so Spain will be OK. Britain is an exception.

To work in Spain you will need an official PERMISO, something that you get after going through official application procedures. That said, it is still possible to work under the table, so to speak (no pun intended). But it will have to be in fields like personal language instruction, house cleaning, babysitting, labor, etc. Employers know the rules and are fully aware that they risk heavy fines if they hire an "illegal". If you can show proof of health insurance, financial independence (obviously that might be difficult if you are desperate for work, I'm sorry) and a clean police record, the more certain route is the official one. Good Luck. PS When you work without a permit, you risk being taken advantage of and having no recourse.

I am going to add to Nosce's... answer that if you want to ask for permission of residence here, you need to have at least $75,000.00 in the bank. You can stay as an English Teacher and travel outside the EU to be on the safe side. Good Luck!
