First of all contact the Spanish Embassy, the paperwork maybe horrendous for you..................you don't have automatic rights just because your husband has a residencia and work permit. I am english my husband is Spanish, I have lived here for 26 years, married fourteen years..............I still need residencia papers, although even they have now changed and I must catch up on the new papers required. You will most certainly need, copies of birth certificate, copies of passport (PLEASE NOTE, I SAY COPIES NOT COPY), possibly papers of proof you are a student, as for applying in the USA I do think you will have to apply for any paperwork regarding residencias once you have arrived in Spain, but I think you may need a entry visa first.... this is why I say contact the Spanish Embassy first. Hope this helps.

Ask the provider whose service you plan to use when you are there.

needs to be more than just proper frequencies to work. there is more than one technology that works with a sim card. i suggest seeing what technology spain uses and match it up... (most likely your phone will work, but you need to know a little bit more than frequencies here)

It should. My phone does. I travel all over the world and my phone works just fine. And it can use the 1800 frequency.

Can a U.S. Trained Medical Doctor go work in Spain for 6 months to a year with his/her license

Can a U.S. Trained Medical Doctor go work in Spain for 6 months to a year with his/her license?
After residency I was wondering if a doctor could pick up and leave to Spain and work there in a clinic and soak up a whole new culture for 6 months to a year or +

As a fellow or under training, possibly. As a stand-alone, just work for 6 months; no. (and the US license is not accepted everywhere on face value; you would have to fulfill Spain's requirements), and find some one who would train you & employ you for just 6 months or so (and give you all the time you wanted to travel off).
